Old Fort MacArthur Days

Welcome graphic

The 'Old Fort MacArthur Days' is an annual fundraiser
that supports the Fort MacArthur Museum, located in
beautiful Angel Gate Park, 3601 South Gaffey Street,
in the Los Angeles harbor city of San Pedro, in the
County of Los Angeles, in the State of California.

The event is held on the weekend following the Fourth of July holiday.  The various organizations and groups that support the event usually arrive beginning on Friday afternoon, or early Saturday morning.  The program itself begins on Saturday at 1000, with the Flag raising ceremony beginning at 1015.  The first activity for the event is the Parade of Troops, which is held on the main battlefield area.  Then the event continues with the different venues throughout the museum's ground.  The Flag lowering takes place at 1545 (3:45 PM) and the program ends at 1600 (4 PM).

On Sunday the program begins at 1000, again with the Flag raising ceremony at 1015.  The first activity on Sunday is the Parade of Troops and Award Ceremonies.  The Flag lowering ceremony takes place at 1530 (3:30 PM) and the event ends for the year at 1600 (4 PM).
